My short piece on why the idea of Britain's joining the TPP (CPTPP) is not straightforward. The trade-off between Britain's autonomy in its trade policy and its access to the EU market needs to be taken into account first.

EU離脱後の英国のTPP（CPTPP）参加問題は日本でも関心が高く、また、安倍政権は英国に対してTPP参加を歓迎する旨、繰り返し述べていますが、英国がTPPに参加するためには離脱後のEUとの関係のレベルを引き下げる必要があり、それが日本の利益に合致するとは言いにくいのが現実です。この点に関して、日本語では、以前にハフポスト日本版に寄稿しました。下記です。
